The countdown is under way to the start of the Syncro British Touring Car Championship.
With an all British flavour, we can look forward to some very close racing round the unique challenges the tracks have to offer.
The pre-season test race will be taking place on the full Silverstone GP track on the 1st July.

After a week of problems faced by the guys at our hosting company, Syncro Racing’s game servers are back online and ready to be used. Please bear with us as we continue to reinstate previous mods, apps and other software on our server which may cause a little lag during Syncro’s ‘off peak’ times.

A preview video of Virtua_LM’s 1991 - 1996 version of Le Mans has appeared on Youtube, with what appears to be a Lancia Beta from their GTX-5 mod! This version of Le Mans is closer to what we have today, and includes the 2 chicanes along the famous Mulsanne Straight, new pit complex, and various other structures. The team’s 1972 - 1986 version of Le Mans is regarded as the best track download for rFactor, and so we wait for this with eager anticipation!

A brand new season of Touring Car action is coming your way here at Syncro Racing! The STCC (Syncro Touring Car Championship) this time takes on a British flavour, offering participating drivers the chance to battle it out around some of the UK’s most loved circuits, those used by the hugely popular British Touring Car Championship. Sign-up’s are now open for teams and individuals wishing to participate in the coming season, which begins with a Test event on the 1st of July 09. All details can be found here

After a rather longer than anticipated break, the new shiny Syncro Racing website is online and better than ever.  Make this your first port of call for all the latest news from our community, along with stories and reviews from the world of simracing.

The Admin team would like to offer our apologies for the recent troubles with our race server and the disruption it has caused to our events. Unfortunately it’s out of our hands but we’re working with the folks at tech-support and hope to be back up and running asap. The ‘Alfa Retro Challenge’ mega-event has been postponed yet again due to technical difficulties thrown up by our own games server. The event had already been postponed last week after various members suffered connectivity problems. The race will now be rescheduled in the near future and announced as soon as possible. 

SimBin have today released Volvo: The Game to the public. This title, in colaboration with Volvo cars, offers more than a glimpse of the S60 Concept, Volvo’s car of tomorrow.

Syncro’s very own Chris Sugg (Aka BattleMetalChris) continues to impress all as his scratch-built Cadwell Park for rFactor rapidly takes shape. Cadwell Park is without doubt one of the greatest circuits in the UK and with it’s range of elevation and camber changes, plus a large section of woodland it offers a challenge not too dis-similar from that of the Nürburgring in Germany - hence the ‘Mini-Nürburgring’ nickname. We’re all very excited and can’t wait for this release, which looks fantastic so far! Check out Chris’s WIP page over at rFactorCentral

Our old friends at Simbin have been busy again, this time creating a free game featuring Volvo race cars from the last few decades, including the legendary Volvo 850 Estate.

Also making an appearance is the brand new Volvo S60 concept car.
